Find your path offers counseling services to individuals. Personal Counseling and therapy on various issues through non-medical methods is our forte. Marriage or Relationship Counseling, Parent-Child Counseling, and therapy for individuals for Depression, Anxiety, Dyslexia, Eldercare, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Occupational Therapy are among the services offered in our Counseling center in Thane. We also have a Counseling center in Mumbai. Many a times we are confused whether we should visit a psychiatrist or psychologist or a counsellor. Visiting a counsellor can be a starting point to give you some clarity. Find Your Path is located in Thane and Powai in Mumbai.

Dr Mehak Sharma
Find Your Path is the brain child of our director, Dr. Mehak Sharma. She is a licensed occupational thearpist, with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a post graduation diploma in Integrative Therapy (Robert Carkhuff Model of personal counseling, REBT – Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy & Transactional Analysis). She has 11 years of extensive experience in healthcare and counseling industry working with companies like Cryosave India, Epoch Elder Care, Portea Medical services across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, where she donned multiple hats including that of a Senior Counselor and Dementia care specialist providing Intellectual Companionship to elderly people. Currently, pursuing PG advance diploma in mindfulness in presence oriented psychotherapy from Tata Institute of Socail Sciences (TISS). She also completed a post graduate certificate course in counselling from the mental healthcare veterans in India – Dr. Minnu Bhonsale and Dr. Rajan Bhonsale’s leading Heart to Heart Counselling, Mumbai.
She believes in Preach What You Practice and through her experience she realized that – To Find Your Path, Is Her Path.
Bhoomi Shah
As a part of the team, is a psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. With over one year of experience, she is trained in catering to varied mental health concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, relationship issues, etc belonging to an age group of 16-30 years. She favours an eclectic approach to therapy and try to make sessions more client-driven. She strives to work from an empathetic and non-judgemental stance to help overcome fears and challenges. Her belief is that every individual needs a safe space to be heard and to heal.
Benaiza Shroff
She has been a practicing counsellor for the past nine years and is a mindfulness practitioner. Benaiza is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad and the University of Huddersfield, U.K. She started her career in luxury hotels and worked with some of the most prestigious international airlines for almost a decade, while transitioning to a career into counseling. She completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. She also have a certificate in Applied Buddhist Psychology and Ethics from Pune University. At the moment, she in the process of completing an advanced Diploma in Mindfulness and Presence oriented Psychotherapy from Just being Center and Tata Institute of Social Sciences. She is also associated with Just Being Center for Mindfulness & Presence LLP as a cousellor. She has worked as a school Counsellor and have been actively involved with Connecting Ngo which is primarily a helpline for suicide prevention and AKS NGO, which is a helpline for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse

The biggest challenge to therapy is accepting that you need it. I had never viewed therapy as a way to improve myself, my relationships, lead a balanced and healthier life. Always thought it is for those who have a more "serious condition/ailment". Hence, it was not an option I considered before. In 2022, I was hit with a professional roadblock that made me question many earlier choices. It was during a discussion with my wife that the topic of therapy came up and I decided to explore it. I first went to another centre in Powai, but after the first session decided not to visit them again. Somehow the therapist there felt extremely mechanical. It took me a few weeks again to muster the energy to look for a therapist and I found Find Your Path through online searches. I looked at reviews and viewed a few videos from Dr Sharma. This gave me the confidence to try this again. At the first visit, Dr Sharma patiently heard my background / challenges and probed me on certain areas without being judgemental. Towards the end of the session, she answered all my queries. What I liked most at the end of first session was that she seemed relatable and I could easily share my challenges with her. She was also honest about the way forward and clearly told me that there is no set timeline to understand and work on these challenges. In the last few months, I have certainly become a calmer version of myself that has improved my professional and personal relationships. While I continue to work on my challenges with Dr Sharma's help, each session is an eye opener on the reasons why I have behaved a certain way and how I could be better going forward.

Dr Mehak has been the key to improving my mental health. I met her for anxiety and body image issues. She’s friendly and considerate. She knows how to lighten things up and to make you see what your problems really are, rather than the build up in your head.

I wasn't keen on taking medicines from a psychiatrist, so i decided to goto a counselor first. And i am glad i did that. Dr. Mehak is a friendly and understanding person. She is very compassionate and let me speak my mind freely. This in itself was a big booster as I knew that there is someone who will listen to me and can understand the pain I am going through. She helped me clear my mind and see through things. I was lacking self confidence and felt that there wasn't anyone I can confide with. In every session she helped me discuss every topic that concerned me and used the socratic approach of questioning me every time - like why does this worry you? Why does it matter? -- It was tough to start with. Answering questions that I had no answers to and this made me think on why anything bothers me so much.
